On September 25th, according to the Australian Sing Tao Daily, the Guangdong Chamber of Commerce in Australia held a plaque unveiling ceremony to provide honest services and promote the development of Sino Australian trade.
Huang Xiangmo, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Guangdong Chamber of Commerce in Australia, stated that the purpose of its establishment is to build a comprehensive service platform to assist Guangdong businessmen and enterprises in investing in Australia. It has also been recognized by the Guangdong Provincial Council for the Promotion of International Trade as the Australian representative office of the Guangdong International Chamber of Commerce. Huang Xiangmo believes that the investment environment in Australia is superior, with comprehensive commercial facilities and planning. He has invested in both China and Australia and found that if the two invest and operate together, it will be twice the result with half the effort. The association advocates the corporate principles of "integrity, cooperation, and service spirit", "consultation with sincerity and benevolence with business", and plays a role as a window in Australia.
New York's Deputy Governor and Minister of Trade and Investment, Stoner, also attended the ceremony on the same day, stating that New York has maintained a stable relationship with Guangdong for a long time and is proud of it. Stoner pointed out that both New Zealand and Guangdong are facing rising labor costs and service-oriented economies, but they also have thriving manufacturing industries. He hopes that the Australian Guangdong Chamber of Commerce can help further consolidate and promote bilateral trade and friendship.
Chinese Consul General in Sydney, Li Huaxin, stated that Guangdong Province is a powerful foreign trade port in China, with rapid development in culture, finance, economy, and education. Chinese businessmen in Australia are known for their diligence and expect the Chamber of Commerce to build a more open and efficient platform for them.
After the board of directors of the Guangdong Chamber of Commerce in Australia, together with Chen Qiuyan, Li Huaxin, Stoner, Shadow Finance Minister Michael Daley, and Councilor Kuhl, the president of the Guangdong Council for the Promotion of International Trade, presided over the unveiling ceremony.
