A ceremony was held on site to release the logo and spirit of the overseas Guangdong Chamber of Commerce, and the first batch of overseas Guangdong Chamber of Commerce were awarded plaques. Lin Ji, Deputy Secretary General of the Guangdong Provincial Government, and Lin Tao, Secretary of the Party Group and President of the Guangdong Chamber of Commerce (Guangdong International Chamber of Commerce), jointly released the logo of the overseas Guangdong Chamber of Commerce and the Guangdong Business Spirit Declaration of "pioneering and innovative, pragmatic and honest, inclusive and law-abiding, grateful and win-win". Subsequently, they awarded plaques to the first batch of 20 overseas Guangdong chambers of commerce established.

At the meeting, Lin Tao delivered an annual work report titled "Firmly believing and taking responsibility as a means of promoting high-quality development of Guangdong's trade promotion through reform and innovation".

It is reported that since 2018, the Association has continuously promoted Guangdong's transformation from a major foreign trade province to a strong foreign trade province by strengthening the contact between overseas Guangdong Chambers of Commerce and overseas representative offices, actively organizing Guangdong enterprises to participate in the "the Belt and Road" and the construction of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area, improving the level of public services for trade, strengthening poverty alleviation and development and other measures. In 2019, the association will adhere to both "bringing in" and "going out" strategies, striving to increase the number of overseas Guangdong chambers of commerce to around 40 by the end of 2019, increase the total number of Guangdong provincial economic and trade representative offices overseas to 25, and strive to sign cooperation agreements with more than 20 overseas trade and investment promotion agencies and chambers of commerce in 2019, further expanding Guangdong's foreign trade "circle of friends".

Subsequently, Zhu Lai, Vice President of Guangdong International Chamber of Commerce and President of New South Group Co., Ltd., Wu Hongtao, Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce and President of Guangdong Huaxing Bank Co., Ltd., Li Tianzhi, Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce and Chairman of Guangdong Daqi Commercial Service Technology Co., Ltd., and other attending representatives made exchange speeches. They had targeted exchanges on the role of overseas institutions and the financial situation based on their actual functions, and put forward measures and suggestions with reference value.

During this period, activities such as overseas institution work meetings and overseas representative training were also held. The conference is rich in content, diverse in form, practical and effective, and aims to promote the service of Guangdong's trade promotion industry to achieve high-quality development and high-level expansion of opening up in Guangdong Province.
